About
WHO ARE WE?
In Matthew 16:16-18, Jesus spoke of building His Church. In Ephesians 1:22-23, Paul describes Christ as the Head of the Church. We strive to live according to these truths by following the pattern He left for us. We are simply Bible-believing Christians who seek to use the Bible only and be Christians only.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is centered on relationships.
We aim to build stronger, healthier relationships with one another and with God—and to help others do the same.
Since being established in Nova Scotia by legislative charter in April 1960, the Church of Christ at 48 Convoy Avenue has been active in Halifax as a Christ-focused, Bible-believing congregation committed to spiritual growth and meaningful fellowship.
WHAT WE BELIEVE?
If you are seeking pure and undefiled religion—not centered on ceremony, tradition, or dogma, but rooted in truth and a genuine, effective relationship with God through Christ—then you will find a home here.
We believe in:
- The Bible as our only guide in faith and practice
- Christ as the Head of His Church
- Simple, sincere Christianity
- Worship that is grounded in scripture
- Loving God and loving people in all we do
OUR HEART
We welcome all who desire a deeper relationship with God. Whether you are exploring faith, returning to it, or seeking a congregation where Christ is central and scripture is honored, we invite you to join us.
