Approach God’s Throne with Confidence

Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

This passage reminds us that we can always turn to God in times of need. He is a loving and merciful God who is always ready to help us. We can approach His throne with confidence, knowing that He will hear us and provide us with the grace and mercy that we need.

When we are facing difficult times, it can be easy to feel alone and unsupported. But this passage reminds us that we are never truly alone. God is always with us, and we can always turn to Him for help.

One practical way to remember this is to make a habit of praying regularly. Set aside time each day to talk to God and share your concerns, your joys and your needs with Him. He is always listening, and He will always be there for you.

In addition, we can seek the help of our Christian brothers and sisters. The church of Christ is a community of believers who are called to support each other in times of need. Let us remember to pray for each other, and to lift each other up in prayer.

In summary, Hebrews 4:16 is a reminder that we can always turn to God in times of need. He is a loving and merciful God who is always ready to help us. Let us approach His throne of grace with confidence, and trust in His grace and mercy. Let us also remember to pray and seek the help of our Christian brothers and sisters when we are facing difficult times.

NS couples honoured for 50 years of service to the Lord

The Convoy Avenue Church of Christ kicked off their 2017 Gospel Meeting by honouring two couples who have been part of the church here in Halifax for 50 years.  Dennis & Carol Peters and Wayne & Shirley Taylor were acknowledged for “50 years in service to the Lord.”  They have been members of the Convoy Avenue Church since it was established at this site in 1967.

In his message, pulpit minister David Cariaga described the challenges we face as Christians to serve our unchanging God in a world that is constantly changing.  We are so proud to have examples of such faithfulness in our congregation as the Peters’ and Taylors’.

Preacher Search

Convoy Avenue Church of Christ has been without a full-time preacher / evangelist for several years.  We are actively searching for a mission-minded individual or married couple who is interested in working with us on a full-time or part-time basis.

Candidates with formal training in ministry, experience teaching, preaching and/or leading in the church should contact us for more details about the preacher position.  Please include a copy of your résumé, and a recent audio or video sermon recording.

UPDATE: We are pleased that our search has come to an end and we have hired our full time minister, David Cariaga.  We look forward to David beginning his ministry with us in September 2016.
