What a joy to see family and friends gather to witness the baptism of their loved ones. The Convoy Church of Christ family had the blessing of witnessing Jonah and Scottie Simmons giving their lives to the Lord on the evening of Tuesday 15th August,2017. Wonderful blessings come to those who obey the gospel of Christ.Through baptism we receive the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (reference – Acts 2:38-39). On Sunday 30th October,2016, Mya Mackey-Boehner, of the Mill Village Church family, received these gifts when she gave her life to the Lord. The occasion was a joyous and momentous one. As “Iron Sharpens Iron” , a phrase which can be found in Proverbs 27:17, in Christian fellowship, Christians sharpen each other’s faith and stir one another to exercise that faith in love and good works, all to the honour and glory of God .
On the first Sunday of every month, the Church family at Convoy Avenue practices this concept by arranging a potluck.
