The Baptism of Mya Mackey-Boehner

Wonderful blessings come to those who obey the gospel of Christ.Through baptism we receive the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (reference – Acts 2:38-39). On Sunday 30th October,2016, Mya Mackey-Boehner, of the Mill Village Church family,  received these gifts when she gave her life to the Lord. The occasion was a joyous and momentous one. Here are some pictures from the event.

Sunday 02nd October, 2016 Fellowship meal

As “Iron Sharpens Iron” , a phrase which can be found in Proverbs 27:17, in Christian fellowship, Christians sharpen each other’s faith and stir one another to exercise that faith in love and good works, all to the honour and glory of God .

On the first Sunday  of every month, the Church family at Convoy Avenue practices this concept by arranging a potluck.

Here are some pictures of the potluck held on Sunday 02nd October, 2016.

A Christian’s Responsibility

Biblical Proof

Biblical Proof Dec 20 2015

There are many things which the Christian individual must do in his individual relationship in living the Christian life that is separate and apart from church. I do not write of denominational, so-called Christians. I speak to those who have obeyed the gospel of Christ. I speak to those who know the truth (1 Jn 2:21). Some people among us have a mistaken idea of what Christianity is. They have the idea that Christianity is exclusively tied to what goes on at the church building. However, Christianity is not merely attending the worship services, although it obviously involves this (Heb. 10:25). Christianity is not merely subscribing to a system of doctrine, although correct belief is essential to salvation from sin (Jn. 8:32 f; Mk. 16:16). Christianity is not simply believing; faith alone is insufficient to save (Jam. 2:24-26 f; Gal. 5:6). Christianity is not merely being a member of the…

Death Comes To All Mankind

Biblical Proof

Biblical Proof Dec 20 2015

Death is a subject mankind avoids like a plague, but comes to us all. What death has done for our friends, he will surely do for us. Each one of us can say with Job, “For I know that you will bring me to death and to the house appointed for all living” (Job 20:23). Some of us may die sooner than others, but all at last will hear his call. It’s appointed unto man once to die, but after this, the judgment (Heb 9:27). We are marching in a great procession toward the grave, judgment and eternity!  Our childhood found us the very essence of strength and vigor, but today our faces are wrinkled, our hair is turning gray or balding, and steps that once were quick and lively have slowed their pace. Soon those once strong and beautiful bodies will perish in the grave and go back to…
